Leap Year Litter: 2 – 3 Weeks
This week the babies are now sitting up, running around, chewing on my toes, and howling. Little Chicken Man is especially vocal. Their teeth are on their way and they are starting to play with each other, me, and their toys.
Norris is still feeding the babies, but we’ve started supplementing with bottles to help out since there are 9 babies. They also got their first mushy food yesterday. It was a hit! I haven’t even uploaded the pictures yet, but hopefully I got a cute one or two. Everyone has also been wormed for the first time, which also went quite smoothly.
Photos from the past three days are below.
First is The Pretender and Cindy Lou Who sleeping around Norris’s head on day 16. Followed by Tuxedo, Dove, and Cindy Lou Who (clockwise from top left) showing off that they’ve outgrown their puppy boxes on day 17. Can you believe that just last week five puppies could fit in this box?! This was their last time in them. Then Number 7 snoozes comfortably with her brothers and sisters as pillows and blankets as the group is piled up in my lap on day 17. I’m not positive who everyone else in the picture is. Finally Cindy Lou Who, Tuxedo, Tennessee Jack, The Pretender, and Dove (counter-clockwise from right) in a dog pile on day 17.
The last four pictures were all taken on day 18. First Captain Hook gives his best just woken up grumpy face. Then Tennessee Jack says, “Did you say food?!” Next Chicken Man settles in between the futon chair and the wall after roaming around looking for someone to feed him. He then begins to howl for his bottle – it was the cutest most pathetic thing! Lastly, Tuxedo waves to everyone.
