A specialty show is a show that showcases only one breed. The Rocky Mountain Irish Wolfhound Assoication (RMIWA), a regional AKC Irish Wolfhound Club, hosts a specialty show every year. This show is a one day show, but the whole day consists of only Irish Wolfhounds. This is a favorite show for us, but it is a very long trip so we are unable to go every year.

This year Steppin’wolf was proud to have four hounds make the long journey to represent us in the ring. Steppin’wolf’s Rosaleen Dhu, “Rosie”; Steppin’wolf’s C’est La Vie, “VeVe”; Steppin’wolf’s Mon Coeur Qui Bat, “Rhythm”; and Steppin’wolf’s Dans Mon Coeur, “Twister” all competed in both sweepstakes and regular confirmation classes. Rosie was handled by Donna Yeldell in the Puppy Bitches 12-15 months Sweepstakes class and the Puppy Bitches 12-18 months regular class. VeVe was handled by Destiny Burge in the Puppy Bitches 6-9 months in both sweepstakes and regular classes. Rhythm was handled by Amber Holmes in the Puppy Dogs 6-9 months in both sweepstakes and regular classes. Twister was handled by Donna Yeldell in the Puppy Dog 6-9 months in both sweepstakes and regular classes.

After the show on Friday, we enjoyed taking in the sites of Colorado on Saturday and Sunday. Here is a group of us at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs.
